Manufactured by a process that heats rare minerals to a temperature of over 5,000 degrees fahrenheit, to create a diamond-like cubic crystalline form of zirconium dioxide )ZrO2) (CZ_ which, when synthesized, is super hard and optically flawless. It should not be confused with zirconium silicate (ZrSiO4), sometimes erroneously called “cubic zirconium”.

HOW TO GET THE MOST FROM YOUR TRU-DIAMONDS™ JEWELLERY
With the proper care your Tru-Diamonds™ jewellery, like any fine diamond jewellery, will last a lifetime. Bear in mind that precious metals like gold and platinum scratch fairly easily so take off your jewellery (especially rings) when doing the housework, yard work, gardening, on the beach or anytime they could rub against sand, metal or other abrasive substances. Never let any fine jewellery come into contact with chlorine bleach. When you’re not wearing your jewellery, be sure to store in a fabric lined case or in a box with dividers to prevent one piece of jewellery scratching another (the presentation box in which you receive your Tru-Diamonds™ jewellery is ideal for this purpose).
When travelling, pack your jewellery with the utmost care. There are many types of jewellery cases, designed for jewellery travel, available in all price ranges. Most have velvet pads inside to attach pins and earrings, with special compartments for bracelets and necklaces. Don’t leave your jewellery on the rim of the basin when you remove it to wash your hands. It can easily slip down the drain.
Tru-Diamonds™ gems are exceptionally hard and are unlikely to become damaged or scratched. But lotions, powders, soaps and even natural skin oils can put a film over diamonds and gems that will greatly reduce their lustre and brilliance. Fortunately, this is easily remedied by regular cleaning.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY TRU-DIAMONDS™ JEWELLERY?
Diamonds, like all gemstones, can get soiled, smudged and dusty. Lotions, powders, soaps – even the natural oils from your skin – can create a film which will reduce the brilliance and sparkle of your gems. In addition, chemicals in the air can oxidize or discolour the mountings. Keeping your jewellery clean will maximize its brilliance. Here are three ways to clean your Tru-Diamonds™ jewellery.
Jewellery Cleaner:
Use Tru-Sparkle (available from us) or another brand-name liquid jewellery cleaner for diamonds. Read the label carefully and follow instructions. Do not touch your clean diamonds with your fingers, as the oils from your hands can leave a film on the stones.
Detergent Bath:
Prepare a small bowl of warm suds using any mild household liquid detergent (be sure not to use any cleaners containing chlorine). Brush the jewellery with a soft brush until you have created a lather around it. With the jewellery on a plastic or metal strainer, rinse off with warm water (be sure not to clean your jewellery over the drain!) Pat your jewellery dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
The Ultrasonic Cleaner:
There are many types of these small machines available to the public today. They will clean any piece of jewellery that can be soaked in a liquid within a matter of minutes. When the machine is turned on, a high-frequency turbulence is created. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and warnings before using these machines.
