The Barceló Group , created in Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands, Spain), with more than 85 years of experience, is one of the leading tourism companies in the Spanish market and one of the most important in the world. The group is owned by the Barceló family and has been run by three generations of family members.
The company’s hotel division has over 100 hotels in 19 countries and its travel division has 685 travel agencies in 22 countries. These figures position it as the third largest hotel chain in Spain, and the forty-second largest in the world.

Although its origins are to be found in the sun and beach holiday sector, in recent years the Barceló Group, through its hotel division, has invested strongly in the urban sector, achieving a balance in its current portfolio, with 35% attributed to city hotels.
Another generational change, carried out to adapt to the new market trends, has led the Mallorcan Group to position itself in the high end of the market, currently making 9 of each of its 10 establishments of 4 or 5 stars, and that two out of three of its hotels are new or have been recently refurbished.
